Recycled Running Shoes Program
In 2008 participants and volunteers helped to recycle over 600 pairs of shoes, and we are looking forward to beating this record.
As a part of giving back to the community and being green, the Market To Market Relay is encouraging participants, friends, family, and community members to bring old running shoes to the start or finish line to donate. Running shoes still have lots of life in them and will be greatly appreciated by someone. All shoes will be donated to the charitable organization Soles 4 Souls. To help offset shipping costs, we encourage anyone that is donating shoes to also give a $1 donation at the shoe collection area.
Soles 4 Souls mission: to impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes. We are partnering with charities and governments around the world to provide a basic (yet indispensable) gift that most of us take for granted.

There will be two collection boxes available, one at the Staging Area and the other one at the Post Race Shindig
Corporate Wellness Challenge Point
Teams competing in the Corporate Wellness Challenge will receive 5 points for every pair of shoes donated by your company. To make sure that we are aware of your donation and so that it counts for points, please fill out your name and corporation on the outside of the collection area box.
