The location of Staging Area is Exchange Point 2. The Staging Area will be the information center for the race and where teams should congregate after dropping Runner 1 off at the Starting Line. There are two reasons for not holding the Staging Area at the starting line.
[1] The starting line is at Stage 1 and the amount of parking available is very limited. Exchange Point 2, however, has an enormous amount of space for parking, ample room to host last minute packet pick-up. There is also enough room to hold a last-minute meeting to update teams if there are any course changes, and to remind teams of the rules, so that everyone can race safely.
[2] Vans have to meet runners at Exchange Point 2 anyway. Logistically it is easier to drop off Runner 1 at the starting line and head immediately to Exchange Point 2, avoiding the traffic jam that would occur immediately after the starting gun is shot off for each wave.

Last Minute Announcements / Pre-Race Meeting

Since parking is such a major concern throughout the race, the runners will start in waves and merge together throughout the course. Teams will be assigned a starting wave based upon the teams that enter the race. Your race pace will put you into a certain wave unless your pace is over 9:45 minute Miles or if you qualified for a “Citizens Class A” Team.
Teams will drop their first runner (Runner 1) off near the Starting Line/Exchange Point 1. Vehicles will then immediately proceed to the Staging Area/Exchange Point 2, where the majority of the check-in procedures will take place.
Recommended Drop Off Time: 15 to 20 Minutes before starting wave.

Please note that due to street closing your captain may have specific instructions with driving directions and drop off times
